My Social Media Nightmare
If you are like me, you might have a love/hate relationship with social media. I love getting to follow along in the lives of friends, family and clients that I don’t get to see regularly in person. I hate the bombardment of ads and sometimes subtle discontentment that I feel after scrolling for too long.
A few weeks ago, my social media conundrum got a lot more complicated. Some random person in Texas decided to hack into my facebook account, post inappropriate content, and within about a 10 minute span, facebook had permanently deleted my personal account and my Instagram account because they were connected. Fifteen years of memories and friends were lost during the time I made my morning cup of coffee. If you haven’t done double authentication for your Social Media accounts do that now and change your passwords. Download your content because it is gone once Facebook decides to delete your account. It doesn’t belong to you.
I now have a new Instagram account (here) and a new Personal facebook account (here). If you use social media, please connect with me by clicking on the icons below. I do miss seeing what is happening in your life. Somehow Facebook did not delete my C. Tucker & Co business account but I have no access to it and facebook has ignored all attempts for me to reclaim it. Starting a new one is so far impossible so I will just have a personal account where I will still be posting info on real estate and travel and renovations. Hopefully I will be seeing you soon on Social Media!
