Boutier Winery & Inn

One of the top 10 wineries in Georgia, Boutier is located in rolling hills overlooking beautiful vineyards and farmland. There is a lovely small garden surrounding a charming tasting area for their wines. In addition to wine, Boutier offers delicious food (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free available) hosts events, features elegant rooms, and a has licensed massage therapist on staff.

 

Broad river corn maze

Outdoor fun for the whole family! In addition to the corn maze, there is a children's maze, petting zoo, camels, games, popcorn, cotton candy, pumpkins, boiled peanuts, games and more.

 

Broad River outpost

Open daily April-Sept. / Weekends March & Oct. Phone Reservations are required and the latest start time to get on the river is 3 pm. This outpost offers reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly and helpful.  The equipment is well maintained and the location is ideal for a fun time for the whole family. There are many points on the river you can stop and relax and a campground is available.

 

Watson Mill bridge state park

Watson Mill Bridge State Park boasts Georgia’s longest covered bridge still in use. This absolutely gorgeous park offers biking, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, paddling, picnicking and more. A wonderful park for fun and for rest & relaxation (bring a book and have seat next to the water). $5 parking pass for entry.

 

Comer farmers market

Comer Farmers Market is open every Saturday in downtown Comer. It’s a wonderful opportunity for locals and visitors to support their community by buying locally grown produce, baked goods, homemade gifts, poultry, eggs, and more. Each week they post a menu on Facebook of food that will be available.

 

Tom Homann Pottery

Located in Downtown Comer, this pottery shop has amazing pieces from local potter, Tom Homann. Tom has had studios for over 40 years and that expertise is evident in his work. He is a delight to chat with as well.

 

bendzunas glass

A working studio and gallery in Comer owned and operated by Master Glassblower Paul Bendzunas. With over 40 years experience, Bendzunas offers demonstrations, a gallery and a wide selection of pieces for sale.

 

Soldier of the Sea Distillery

Soldier of the Sea is located in a beautifully renovated historic industrial building right by the railroad tracks in downtown Comer. Their pub, The Hive, is now open serving incredible whiskey and cocktails. Take a tour of the distillery and meet the owners, who are fun and knowledgeable.

 

Danielsville Florist & Gifts and 87 Vintage market

These two shops are operated next door to each other in downtown Danielsville. The Florist and Gifts shop has an assortment of decor, gifts and outdoor art for your yard and garden. Next store is 87 Vintage that sells antiques and vintage items.

 

Neat Pieces Antiques

Neat Pieces Antiques offers a unique and fun collection of antique clothing, books, trinkets, decor, art, collectables and much more. Located in Downtown Carlton.

Located on Main Street in Ila, Hometown Interiors carries a beautiful blend of hand painted furniture, home decor and accessories along with local, seasonal, jams, honey, gifts and friendly faces.

 

3 porch farm

Visit this small sustainable flower farm on 9 acres in Comer owned and run by Mandy & Steve O'Shea. From their website, “we work with our crew to grow beautiful flowers in a way that respects the land, our employees and our community.” Their little shop is full of well-chosen gifts and lovely things for your home.

 

Moon Farms

Moon Farms is a wonderful farm for strawberry picking (seasonal). There are picnic tables to have a snack or picnic lunch and the strawberry ice cream is very delicious.
