Local holiday markets

 Here is a round up of some of our favorite local holiday markets!

November 20th from 8am - 5pm: Athens Academy Holiday Market at the Sinkwich Spartan Center on Athens Academy’s campus. This market features over 85 vendors from across the Southeast! Featuring everything from original jewelry, pottery, fine art, handmade soaps, artisan foods and so much more! Parking and admission is free.


November 21st, 22nd & 23rd: Oconee County Art Foundation’s holiday market in downtown Watkinsville is a much anticipated annual event. Enjoy three-day access with a general admission ticket of $5 per adult (paid at the door). The original/handmade works will include pottery, paintings, fiber art, stained and fused glass, jewelry, sculpture, photography, woodwork, and more.


November 29th & December 12th from 6-9pm: Beechwood Holiday Market is an annual fun event for the whole family. On Saturday, Nov. 29th is the Tree Lighting Festival and Friday, Dec. 12th is the Holiday Carnival. In addition to live music, visitors will enjoy food trucks, Santa photos, hayrides, face painting, s’mores, and hot chocolate. Admission is free.



December 6th from 9am-5pm: The Portico Christmas Market in Good Hope offers a wonderful way to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season in a cozy atmosphere. Enter their red doors and shop with local vendors and artisans offering terrariums, candles, fine art, pottery, baked goods and much more. Admission is free.


December 11th & 12th from 5-9pm: The annual Athens Holiday Market at Big City Bread features local artists and craftspeople from around the region. Enjoy great food, live music under the stars and tons of handmade local and regional treasures to fill all your holiday shopping lists.



December 13th - 14th from 10am-5pm - Location TBA: Indie South Fair Holiday Hooray! Over 150 makers, artists and curators will line the walking paths of Bishop Park for Athens' largest handmade market. Food trucks and music round out this family friendly, community building weekend.
