Two Free Ways to Beat the Heat

Does anyone else feel the push and pull of summer? I relish the slower pace of life while simultaneously feeling like I’m not getting enough done. I cherish more time with my kids while also missing my alone time. I love wearing breezy dresses and sandals but hate the sweat dripping down my back. I’m learning to lean into this season and to actually slow down and rest, knowing fall is right around the corner.

With that in mind, I plan on highlighting fun things to do locally this summer, many of which are outside, but had to pivot a bit this week due to the crazy heat. High 90’s every day!!!

Here are a couple cool and FREE ideas to do this week in and around Watkinsville.

Join us this Thursday, June 16th any time between 3pm - 6 pm at the Oconee Civic Center for SUMMERFEST! There will be give-aways, food tastings and more. This kid friendly event is a great way to see what Oconee County has to offer. Drop by our table, say hello and enter to win our giveaway. We’d love to see you.

Have a scoop on us! We love Farm 441 so much that we invite you to drop by their store and have a free scoop of ice-cream this week through June 18th. Just mention C. Tucker & Co and they will give you one free scoop. Enjoy!
