Baxter street Guide
Baxter Street in the center of Athens links UGA campus with the major commercial centers of Beachwood and Alps Shopping Centers. What was once a road of regularly changing restaurants and closing shops is now the vibrant backbone of Athens. It would take weeks to sample all the unique and tasty restaurants and a weekend of shopping would still leave some places unexplored. There’s a great mixture of locally owned and national chains. If you have recently relocated to Athens or are a local that hasn’t driven down Baxter since college, set aside some time to experience some great food, friendly people, and fun browsing.
